The Japan Wool Textile Co., Ltd. (December)

1899

Kakogawa Plant begins operations

1901

Production of woollen cloth begins

1912

Production of combed yarn and muslin begins

1919

Beginning of operation at the Inami factory

1937

Head office building (now the main store) is constructed at 47 Akashi-cho, Kobe-ku, Kobe City.

1941

Joint Muslin Corporation (former Nakayama Plant and Tatebayashi Plant) merged with Kyoritsu Muslin Co.

1942

Merged with Showa Wool Textile Spinning Co.

1949

Listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange (May 16)

1956

Nihon Keori Argentina established (closed in 1981)
The Emperor and Empress Showa visit the Kakogawa Plant

1958

Unuma Plant (now Gifu Plant) begins operations

1961

Established Nikke Real Estate Co.
Participated in the management of Shinsei Shoji Co., Ltd. (currently Nikke Shoji Co., Ltd.)

1962

Carpet production begins at the Inami Plant.

1964

Obtained the first authorization to use the wool mark in Japan.

Establishment of Akatsuki Shoji Co.

Machinery Works established (became independent as Nikke Machinery Works, Ltd. in 1978)

Kakogawa and Inami plants were merged to form Inami Plant.

1984

Opened "Nikke Park Town" shopping center in Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture
Asahi Nikke English Essay Contest started (ended with the 18th contest in 2005)

1987

Established Nikke Leisure Service Co.

1988

Opened "Nikke Colton Plaza" in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture

1990

Opened "Nikke Milano Office"
